Dear Artist:

     The Port Jervis Arts Walk committee is in the process of searching for and selecting artists for our tenth annual Arts Walk, which will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2008.  The rain date is Sunday, July 20, 2008. The search is focused on artists willing to display their ORIGINAL art or prints of their original art and hand crafts. 

     Arts Walk is an outdoor festival with over 100 participating artists lining the streets of historic downtown Port Jervis.  The day brings many thousands of visitors from surrounding states to experience and purchase original art. Arts Walk features many different aspects of the arts.  The sounds of jazz, big band and other musical entertainers fill the air.  Whimsical stilt-walkers amuse the crowds as they meander along the street.  Dance troupes in dazzling costumes also entertain the crowds.  Food vendors from the area offer a wide variety of delicious treats. 

     Each artist will be assigned a generous space along the street or in the Erie Depot parking lot.  Limited electrical power is available at the base of the street lamps.  As a participating artist, your name will be listed in the Arts Walk program, and on the Arts Walk website.  We encourage you to take out a promotional ad in our Arts Walk program, which is the visitors guide to the Arts Walk celebration.   

     Due to our increased costs, we need to charge a $25 non-refundable registration fee for each space this year.  Please complete the application and return it to Susan Krause, 106 Avenue E, Matamoras, PA 18336 with your $25 fee by June 1, 2008.
